How early is a pregnancy test accurate?

The most accurate pregnancy test, urine or blood, is when you have missed your period by 7 days. We are unable to determine if you are pregnant based on your signs and symptoms. The most common signs and symptoms of early pregnancy are; nausea, breast tenderness, bloating and fatigue, which are very common issues in a variety of circumstances. We recommend that when you are a week late, to do a urine pregnancy test using the very first urine of the day and either a First Response or EPT pregnancy test. If you are still unsure, we can do a blood pregnancy test. Please call our nurses’ department if there are any further questions.
